Total Grant of Rs. 1,80,000/- will be paid to 48 artists in the following order: Top 12 Featured Artist: Rs, 8000/- each, next 12 Artists: Rs. 4000/- each, next 12 Artists: Rs. 2000/- each, next 12 Artists: Rs. 1000/- each. The Grant aims to support and encourage artistic endeavours.
The Artist's Name, Profile Photo & Contact Information will be printed, making it easy for interested viewers to connect with featured artist directly.
Each Featured Artist of the Mazda Art Calendar 2026 will receive 12 copies of the calendar by post. This provides a great opportunity to share these printed calendars with friends, family, or potential buyers known to you
All participating artist will receive a digital Certificate of Participation & Citation on website. This further helps to provide recognition, enhance credibility, boost motivation, and aid in promoting the artist’s work.
Mazda Art Calendar stays on desks, shelves, or tables all year long, ensuring that the artworks are seen consistently over 12 months, keeping the artwork in the minds of viewers every day.
Mazda Art Calendar 2026 will be distributed and circulated to a broad audience, including previous clients and art buyers too. This exposure helps featured artists reach people who might not otherwise encountered their work and potentially attract new buyers.
Calendars are practical items that people use daily, combining utility with aesthetic appeal. This fusion of function and fine art adds value and makes the artwork more integrated into everyday life.
Artist can submit artworks of any medium of choice from Oil, Acrylic, Watercolours, Pen, Pencil, Charcoal, Graphite, Pastels, Mixed Media.
Artists can submit up to 6 artworks to maximise their chances of being featured in the Mazda Art Calendar 2026.
Eligibility Criteria:
Open to Indian Artists aged 18 and above only. Entries must be the artist's original work. Even if the artwork is sold, it can still be submitted for the calendar.
Submission Guidelines:
Each artist can submit up to 6 (six) artworks for consideration. Submissions should be in clear, high-resolution images in JPEG format.
Copyright and Ownership:
The Artist retains full copyright of their artwork and agrees to the use of the submitted artwork for the creation and promotion of the calendar.
Jury Criteria: The Jury will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria
Originality
The artwork must be entirely the artists own creation, showcasing a unique perspective or approach.
Aesthetic Appeal
The visual harmony and overall presentation that captivates the viewer.
Technical Excellence
Demonstration of mastery in the chosen medium and techniques.
Emotional Resonance
The depth of emotion or storytelling conveyed through the artwork.
Creativity and Innovation
The imaginative elements and fresh ideas that set the work apart.
Estimated Effort
The perceived time, energy, and commitment invested in bringing the artwork to life.
Jury Rules:
No Re-Submission of Previously Awarded Artwork. Any artwork that has previously won a grant through Mazda Art cannot be re-submitted for this grant. However, the artist can submit different artwork that showcases their creativity and talent.
Submissions should be in clear, high-resolution images in JPEG format. If the image of the artwork submitted is blurry, pixelated, poorly lit, or does not adequately represent the artwork, it may be disqualified. High-quality, clear and well-lit images are essential for the jury to evaluate the artwork fairly.
Unethical Content. Artwork featuring nudity, vulgarity, accusations of any sort, controversial subjects, or content deemed demeaning will not be allowed.
Plagiarised Artwork. If the artwork is found to be copied, heavily inspired without credit, or identical to another artists work, it will be disqualified. Submissions must be the original creation of the applicant, reflecting their unique ideas and efforts.
All submitted artworks must be 100% hand-painted. The use of any form of digital printing, printed base layers or pre-printed canvases — even as an under layer or guide — is strictly prohibited. Any artwork found to incorporate such methods will be immediately disqualified from consideration.
The decisions of the Juries will be final and binding to all. No correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. Application fees once paid, it is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Submission Accuracy:
Artist details, including contact information, and Artwork to feature in Calendar cannot be changed once submitted. Artists are requested to double-check all information for accuracy before making the submission.
Merit Based:
Artists cannot pay to secure a spot in the calendar. With only 12 artists being featured in the calendar and limited to one artwork per artist, all featured positions are earned based on merit.
Calendar Production:
The size and dimensions of the calendar may change to achieve the best desired output and presentation. The colors in the printed calendar may differ from the actual colors of the original artwork and Artist acknowledge potential changes and variations in the final product.
Optimal Presentation:
Since the submitted artworks may be in portrait or landscape orientation, they might need to be cropped and adjusted to achieve the best visual outcome. Full artwork as submitted may not appear in its entirety in the calendar to ensure an optimal presentation.
Artwork Placement:
The month assignment for each featured artwork is at the discretion of the organisers. The featured artwork may appear in any month of the calendar, and requests for specific placements will not be entertained.
Application Fees:
The application fees help cover a wide range of essential costs associated with the calendar design, printing, packaging, distribution, courier expenses, and the effort involved in delivering a high-quality product to a targeted audience. Please note that application fees once paid, it is non-refundable under any circumstances.
